Since 2002, Skyline College has been an integral partner of the Biotech Workforce Network. One of their greatest contributions was assisting the San Mateo County Workforce Investment Board (WIB) and Genentech to develop and deliver an intensive bio-manufacturing certificate program for workers from a variety of industries. The program has earned a 97 percent program completion rate and an 88 percent placement rate. Program features include:

It demonstrates the agility of the community colleges to bridge the diverse organizational cultures represented by government, business, and education to ensure California's economic vitality.
