Biotechnology Blue Ribbon Taskforce
The Biotechnology Blue Ribbon Taskforce (BBRTF) was created by the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors, in 2005. The Taskforce brings together employers, education, labor, workforce, and local government to build a sustainable biotech workforce training system.
Focused on building sustainable workforce systems in the Life Sciences industry, the BBRTF will directly address the core issues - increasing educational capacity and career ladder advancement.
The Taskforce is co-chaired by Mark Church, San Mateo County Supervisor / Board liaison to the San Mateo County Workforce Investment Board. (WIB); and Helyn Dahle, Associate Director of Community and Government Relations for Cell Genesys, Inc. and also a WIB Board Member. Additional appointees to the Taskforce include:
